Sundlaugin á Þingeyri var tekin í notkun árið 1995 og er sú nýjasta í sveitarfélaginu Ísafjarðarbæ. Innilaugin er 16,67 metra löng og er hluti af íþróttamiðstöð sem hýsir einnig íþróttasal, líkamsræktarstöð og gufubað. Vorið 2020 var heitur pottur utandyra tekinn í notkun og síðar einnig kaldur pottur, sem gerir aðstöðuna fjölbreyttari fyrir gesti.

Íþróttamiðstöðin og laugin er miðpunktur íþróttastarfs á Þingeyri og þjónar bæði íbúum og ferðamönnum. Við íþróttamiðstöðina er margvísleg aðstaða fyrir almenna hreyfingu og skipulagt íþróttastarf, þar á meðal hlaupabretti, spinning-hjól og æfingatæki. Sundlaugin er staðsett miðsvæðis á Þingeyri, stutt frá öðrum helstu þjónustustöðum staðarins. Tjaldsvæði bæjarins er einnig í nágrenninu.

The swimming pool in Þingeyri was opened in 1995 and is the newest one in the municipality of Ísafjarðarbær. The indoor pool is 16.67 meters long and is part of a sports center that also houses a sports hall, a gym, and a steam bath. In the spring of 2020, an outdoor hot tub was put into use and later also a cold tub, which makes the facilities more varied for guests.

The sports center and the pool are the focal point of sports activities in Þingeyri and serve both residents and tourists. At the sports center there are various facilities for general exercise and organized sports activities, including a treadmill, spinning bikes, and workout equipment. The swimming pool is centrally located in Þingeyri, close to other main services in the area. The town’s campsite is also nearby.
