Sundlaugin á Kirkjubæjarklaustri er staðsett við íþróttamiðstöðina í bænum, sem er jafnframt við Kirkjubæjarskóla. Núverandi sundlaug var byggð árið 2007 og leysti af hólmi eldri laug frá 1975. Við hlið aðallaugarinnar eru vaðlaug og tveir heitir pottar, þar af annar með einstöku útsýni yfir Systrafoss. Sagt er að þar sé eini staðurinn á landinu þar sem er hægt að horfa á foss beint úr pottinum. 

Íþróttamiðstöðin, sem var tekin í notkun 2004, hýsir einnig íþróttasal og tækjasal sem opinn er á sama tíma og sundlaugin. Íþróttasalinn er í boði til leigu fyrir hópa, og er innangengt beint úr skólanum fyrir íþrótta- og sundtíma nemenda. Búningsaðstaða og þjónustuhúsnæði er sameiginlegt fyrir sundlaug og íþróttasal, sem gerir aðstöðuna þægilega fyrir bæði heimamenn og gesti.

The swimming pool at Kirkjubæjarklaustur is located by the town’s sports center, which is also next to Kirkjubæjarskóli school. The current pool was built in 2007 and replaced an older pool from 1975. Next to the main pool there is a wading pool and two hot tubs, one of which offers a unique view over Systrafoss waterfall. It is said to be the only place in the country where you can watch a waterfall directly from a hot tub.

The sports center, which was opened in 2004, also houses a sports hall and a gym that are open at the same time as the swimming pool. The sports hall is available for group rental, and there is direct indoor access from the school for students’ sports and swimming classes. The changing facilities and service area are shared by the swimming pool and the sports hall, making the facilities convenient for both locals and visitors.
