Sundlaugin í Grímsey er staðsett við Vallargötu í Grímsey. Sundlaugin er rekin af sveitarfélaginu Akureyrarbæ og er nyrsta sundlaug landsins. Hún er innilaug og er hitun vatns leyst án jarðhita með því að hita kalt vatn með díselrafstöð eyjarinnar. Laugin hefur gengist undir viðhald og endurbætur, meðal annars málun, á undanförnum árum.

Aðstaðan er 12,5 metra innilaug með 6 metra breidd, heitur pottur og kalt ker. Sundlaugin er ekki með sérútbúna aðstöðu fyrir fatlaða en hjólastóll kemst um innanhússrými hússins.

Laugin þjónar íbúum eyjarinnar og gestum, meðal annars gestum tjaldsvæðis sem er staðsett við sundlaugina. Hún er hluti af íþrótta- og tómstundastarfi Grímseyjar undir rekstri Akureyrarbæjar.

The swimming pool in Grímsey is located on Vallargata in Grímsey. The pool is operated by the municipality of Akureyri and is the northernmost swimming pool in the country. It is an indoor pool, and the water is heated without geothermal energy by heating cold water with the island’s diesel power station. The pool has undergone maintenance and improvements, including painting, in recent years.

The facilities consist of a 12.5-meter indoor pool with a width of 6 meters, a hot tub, and a cold tub. The swimming pool does not have specially equipped facilities for disabled people, but a wheelchair can move around the indoor areas of the building.

The pool serves the island’s residents and visitors, including guests of the campsite located by the pool. It is part of Grímsey’s sports and leisure activities under the operation of Akureyri municipality.
