Sundlaugin í Hrísey er staðsett við Íþróttamiðstöðina að Austurvegi 5 í þéttbýlinu á Hrísey í Akureyrarbæ. Fyrsta sundlaugin var reist á sjöunda áratug 20. aldar eftir langt undirbúningsferli í sveitarfélaginu, en núverandi aðstaða er hluti af endurbættri íþróttamiðstöð eyjarinnar.

Á svæðinu er 12,5 metra útisundlaug ásamt sérstakri barnalaug, heitum potti og köldu keri. Einnig eru gufubað og innrauð sauna, búningsklefar með læstum skápum og aðgengilegur einstaklingsklefi. Sundlaugin tengist beint við íþróttamiðstöðina þar sem er tækjasalur og íþróttasalur.  

Laugin er í nánum tengslum við tjaldsvæðið sem er skammt frá og er í reglulegri notkun bæði af íbúum eyjarinnar og ferðamönnum, meðal annars í tengslum við íþróttastarf á vegum Akureyrarbæjar.

The swimming pool in Hrísey is located at the Sports Center at Austurvegur 5 in the village of Hrísey in the municipality of Akureyri. The first swimming pool was built in the 1960s after a long preparation process within the municipality, but the current facilities are part of the island’s renovated sports center.

The area features a 12.5-meter outdoor pool along with a separate children’s pool, a hot tub, and a cold tub. There is also a steam bath and an infrared sauna, changing rooms with locked lockers, and an accessible private changing room. The swimming pool is directly connected to the sports center, which houses a gym and a sports hall.  

The pool is closely connected to the nearby campsite and is regularly used both by the island’s residents and by tourists, including in connection with sports activities organized by the municipality of Akureyri.
