Sundlaugin á Hvammstanga er staðsett við Íþróttamiðstöð Húnaþings vestra að Hlíðarvegi 6 á Hvammstanga. Sundlaugin með búningsaðstöðu var tekin í notkun árið 1982 og íþróttahús byggt við árin 2001–2002, en íþróttamiðstöðin í heild sinni var formlega opnuð árið 2002.

Á svæðinu er 25 x 11 m útilaug með fjórum sundbrautum. Við hana eru heitur pottur með vatnsnuddi, barnapottur, vaðlaug fyrir yngri börn og gufubað. Á útisvæðinu er einnig vatnsrennibraut.

Í tengslum við sundlaugina er þrektækjasalur og íþróttasalur með aðstöðu fyrir m.a. handbolta, körfubolta, badminton, blak og tennis. Íþróttamiðstöðin gegnir mikilvægu hlutverki í íþrótta- og tómstundastarfi í sveitarfélaginu fyrir einstaklinga og íþróttafélög.

The swimming pool in Hvammstangi is located at the Húnaþing vestra Sports Center at Hlíðarvegur 6 in Hvammstangi. The swimming pool with changing facilities was opened in 1982, and a sports hall was added in 2001–2002. The sports center as a whole was formally opened in 2002.

The area features a 25 x 11 m outdoor pool with four swimming lanes. Next to it are a hot tub with water massage, a children’s pool, a wading pool for younger children, and a steam bath. There is also a waterslide in the outdoor area.

Connected to the swimming pool are a fitness gym and a sports hall with facilities for, among other things, handball, basketball, badminton, volleyball, and tennis. The sports center plays an important role in sports and leisure activities in the municipality for individuals and sports clubs.
