Sundlaug Grindavíkur er rúmgóð og vel útbúin 25 x 12,5 metra útilaug sem opnuð var árið 1994. Aðstaðan er fjölbreytt og hentar jafnt til sundæfinga sem og afslöppunar. Tveir heitir pottar eru við laugina, annar með nuddi, auk kalds potts, saunu og barnalaugar með vatnssvepp. Þá stendur stór og vinsæl rennibraut yfir barnalaugina.

Í Íþróttamiðstöð Grindavíkur, sem var opnuð árið 2015 við laugina, er einnig líkamsræktarstöð og ljósabekkir. Þar er meðal annars stór íþróttasalur, búningsaðstaða og fjölnota samkomusalurinn Gjáin, sem tengir saman sundlaugina, íþróttasvæði og knattspyrnuvelli í eina samfellda heild.

Sundlaug Grindavíkur og íþróttamiðstöðin mynda saman öflugt miðsvæði fyrir íþróttir og æskulýðsstarf í bænum, aðstaða sem hentar jafnt íbúum sem gestum Grindavíkur allt árið um kring.

The Grindavík Swimming Pool is a spacious and well-equipped 25 x 12.5 meter outdoor pool that was opened in 1994. The facilities are diverse and suitable both for swim training and relaxation. There are two hot tubs by the pool, one with massage jets, as well as a cold tub, a sauna, and a children’s pool with a water mushroom. A large and popular waterslide also runs over the children’s pool.

In the Grindavík Sports Center, which was opened in 2015 next to the pool, there is also a fitness center and tanning beds. Among other things, it houses a large sports hall, changing facilities, and the multi-purpose hall Gjáin, which connects the swimming pool, sports area, and football pitches into one continuous complex.

Together, the Grindavík Swimming Pool and the sports center form a strong central hub for sports and youth activities in the town, a facility that serves both residents and visitors to Grindavík all year round.
