Sundhöll Seyðisfjarðar

Seyðisfjörður Swimming Hall is located at Suðurgata 5 in the town center of Seyðisfjörður in Múlaþing. The building was constructed in 1948 and designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, the State Architect, and the swimming pool was formally opened on July 8 of the same year. The swimming hall has an indoor pool, 12.5 x 7 meters, with changing facilities in the same building. Inside there are two hot tubs and a sauna. Outside the building there is a hot tub and a cold tub, and you can walk out into a fenced outdoor area that serves as a garden with seating. The pool is often heated to a higher temperature than conventional swimming pools, among other reasons because of infant swimming classes. Seyðisfjörður Swimming Hall is operated by Múlaþing and is connected to the town’s sports and leisure activities. It serves the residents of Seyðisfjörður and the surrounding area, for public swimming, instruction, and infant swimming, and not least tourists.
