Stefánslaug á Norðfirði stendur við Miðstræti 15 í Neskaupstað, ofarlega í bænum og með glæsilegt útsýni yfir Norðfjörð. Laugin var upphaflega tekin í notkun árið 1943 er nefnd eftir Stefáni Þorleifssyni sund- og íþróttakennara. Laugin var endurbyggð nánast frá grunni á árunum 2001–2006, fyrst 25 metra sundlaugin og síðan þjónustuhús.

Auk útilaugarinnar eru heitir pottar gufubað og tvær stórar vatnsrennibrautum. Laugarsvæðið er í hlíðinni og liggur opið til fjarðarins sem gefur vítt útsýni til fjalla.

Stefánslaug er rekin af Fjarðabyggð og tengist íþrótta- og tómstundastarfi bæjarins, bæði skólasundi og almennri sundiðkun. Hún gegnir einnig hlutverki sem upplýsingamiðstöð fyrir gesti á svæðinu samkvæmt upplýsingum frá sveitarfélaginu.

Stefánslaug in Norðfjörður is located at Miðstræti 15 in Neskaupstaður, high up in the town with a magnificent view over Norðfjörður. The pool was originally taken into use in 1943 and is named after Stefán Þorleifsson, a swimming and sports teacher. The pool was rebuilt almost from the ground up in the years 2001–2006, first the 25-metre swimming pool and then the service building.

In addition to the outdoor pool there are hot tubs, a steam bath and two large water slides. The pool area is on the hillside and opens out towards the fjord, giving a wide view of the mountains.

Stefánslaug is operated by Fjarðabyggð and is connected to the town’s sports and leisure activities, both school swimming and general swimming. It also serves as an information centre for visitors to the area, according to information from the municipality.
