Stapasundlaug er ný sundlaug í Stapaskóla í Reykjanesbæ sem opnaði sumarið 2025. Laugin er 25 metra innisundlaug sem hentar jafnt til íþróttaiðkunar og almennrar sundnotkunar. Á svæðinu er einnig innivaðlaug og önnur utandyra.

Utandyra eru tveir heitir pottar og einn kaldur pottur, ásamt gufubaði og infrarauðum klefa. Pottasvæðið snýr í suður og nýtur þess vegna góðs af sól þegar veður leyfir.

Stapasundlaug er hluti af nýrri íþróttamiðstöð sem tengist Stapaskóla og Ice Mar-höllinni. Byggingin er hönnuð með áherslu á gott aðgengi, birtu og orkunýtni. Sundlaugarsvæðið er staðsett á efri hæð hússins og veitir útsýni bæði til suðurs og norðurs.

Laugin er opin almenningi utan skólatíma og er mikilvæg viðbót við íþróttamannvirki bæjarins.

Stapasundlaug is a new swimming pool in Stapaskóli in Reykjanesbær that opened in the summer of 2025. The pool is a 25-meter indoor pool suitable both for sports training and general swimming. The area also includes an indoor hot tub and another one outdoors.

Outdoors there are two hot tubs and one cold tub, along with a steam bath and an infrared cabin. The hot tub area faces south and therefore enjoys good sunlight when the weather allows.

Stapasundlaug is part of a new sports center connected to Stapaskóli and the Ice Mar Arena. The building is designed with an emphasis on good accessibility, natural light, and energy efficiency. The pool area is located on the upper floor of the building and offers views both to the south and the north.

The pool is open to the public outside school hours and is an important addition to the town’s sports facilities.
