Laugarfell er á austanverðu hálendinu um 70–75 km suðvestur af Egilsstöðum og norðan við Snæfell, skammt frá vegi að Kárahnjúkavirkjun. Þar er rekið gisthús og þjónusta yfir sumarmánuðina og vatnið í lauginni kemur úr náttúrulegum heitum uppsprettum á svæðinu.

Á staðnum eru tvær heitar laugar eða pottar undir berum himni, hlaðnir úr náttúrusteini og í góðri tengingu við náttúruna. Vatnið kemur úr heitum lindum á svæðinu og rennur stöðugt í laugarnar, sem standa í nálægð við gistihúsið og tjaldsvæði.

Aðstaðan er hluti af hálendissetri þar sem boðið er upp á gönguleiðir í næsta nágrenni og tengist Laugarfell þannig útivist og ferðaþjónustu á hálendi Austurlands. Gistihúsið nýtir jarðhitann til húshitunar og þjónar bæði einstaklingum og hópum utan þéttbýlis.

Laugarfell is on the eastern highlands, about 70–75 km southwest of Egilsstaðir and north of Snæfell, close to the road to the Kárahnjúkar power plant. A guesthouse and services are operated there during the summer months, and the water in the pool comes from natural hot springs in the area.

On site there are two hot pools or tubs under the open sky, built from natural stone and in good harmony with the surrounding nature. The water comes from hot springs in the area and flows continuously into the pools, which are located close to the guesthouse and campsite.
