Sjóböðin í Hvammsvík eru náttúruleg heit böð í Hvalfjarði, í um 45 mínútna akstursfjarlægð frá Reykjavík. Á svæðinu eru átta laugarker með mismunandi hitastigi sem liggja við sjóinn og ná sumar laugarnar niður í fjöruna. Heita vatnið í Hvammsvík er um 90 gráður að uppruna og blandað saman við sjó beint úr hafinu. Vatnið er því hvort tveggja salt og heitt og auðveldara er að fljóta í því en í venjulegu ferskvatni.

Laugarnar eru með stöðugu gegnumstreymi sem tryggir vatnsgæði án notkunar hreinsiefna. Hitastig í laugunum er breytilegt, sérstaklega í þeim neðstu en þar hafa sjávarföllin áhrif. Gufuhellir og utandyra slökunarsvæði eru einnig hluti af aðstöðunni.

The sea baths in Hvammsvík are natural hot baths in Hvalfjörður, about a 45-minute drive from Reykjavík. In the area there are eight pools with different temperatures that lie by the sea, and some of the pools extend down into the shoreline. The hot water in Hvammsvík is about 90 degrees at its source and is mixed with seawater taken directly from the ocean. The water is therefore both salty and hot, and it is easier to float in it than in regular freshwater.

The pools have a constant flow-through system that ensures water quality without the use of chemicals. The temperature in the pools varies, especially in the lowest ones where the tides have an effect. A steam cave and outdoor relaxation areas are also part of the facilities.

Light refreshments are offered at the restaurant in Hvammsvík, along with various events and guided activities related to sea swimming, steam bathing, and other recreation. The age limit is 12 years, and it is necessary to book access in advance on the website hvammsvik.is.
