Grettislaug á Reykhólum er 25 metra útilaug með heitum pottum, staðsett rétt við tjaldsvæðið. Laugin er opin yfir sumarmánuðina og nýtur einstakrar nálægðar við náttúru og sögu svæðisins.

Laugin dregur nafn sitt af Gretti sterka Ásmundarsyni, sem samkvæmt fornum heimildum dvöldi á Reykhólum. Nafngiftin er táknræn, enda hefur Reykhólasvæðið löngum verið þekkt fyrir jarðhita svæðisins, en heitt vatn kemur úr hverum á svæðinu. 

Reykhólar eru einn sögufrægasti staður Vestfjarða og voru áður mikilvægt höfðingjasetur og verslunarstaður. Þeir eru jafnframt þekktir fyrir einstakt fuglalíf, með fjölbreyttum búsvæðum sem laða að sér fjölda fuglategunda. Aðstaðan við laugina er einföld og friðsæl, umlukin náttúruperlunum Breiðafjarðar, og í næsta nágrenni má finna bæði söfn, gönguleiðir og frábær tækifæri til fuglaskoðunar. 

Grettislaug at Reykhólar is a 25-meter outdoor pool with hot tubs, located right next to the campsite. The pool is open during the summer months and enjoys a unique closeness to the nature and history of the area.

The pool takes its name from Grettir the Strong Ásmundarson, who according to ancient sources stayed at Reykhólar. The name is symbolic, as the Reykhólar area has long been known for its geothermal activity, with hot water emerging from springs in the region.

Reykhólar is one of the most historically significant places in the Westfjords and was once an important chieftain’s residence and trading post. It is also known for its unique birdlife, with diverse habitats that attract a wide variety of bird species. The facilities at the pool are simple and peaceful, surrounded by the natural treasures of Breiðafjörður, and in the immediate vicinity you can find museums, hiking trails, and excellent opportunities for birdwatching.
