Grafarvogslaug

Grafarvogslaug is a swimming pool in Grafarvogur, Reykjavík, which opened in 1998 and has since been expanded and improved in stages. The main pool, which is 25 meters long with five lanes, was the first facility to open. An indoor pool was taken into use in the autumn of 1998, 12.5 meters long with a temperature of 32–33°C, making it particularly suitable for younger swimmers. In 2002 a play pool and a 51-meter-long water slide were added, which are very popular. In addition, there is a wading pool with 37°C warm water and various play equipment. In the area there are three hot tubs with temperatures ranging from 38°C to 44°C, a massage pool and a cold tub at 8–12°C. The facilities also include a steam bath and an infrared sauna on the outdoor area, offering diverse options for relaxation. Grafarvogslaug provides good facilities for people with reduced mobility, with a lift to access the pool and access to the sauna. Water slides, both for children and adults, along with floating play equipment, increase the fun factor for families. The pool is located in a large outdoor recreation area in Grafarvogur and includes both an outdoor pool and an indoor pool.
