Álftaneslaug

Álftaneslaug is a swimming pool in Álftanes with a wide range of facilities for guests. The pool has a 25-metre outdoor swimming pool, two hot tubs (39°C and 42°C), a cold tub (4–5°C), a children’s pool and a splash pool. The pool area also features the country’s only wave pool, along with a water slide that is 10 metres high and 80 metres long. The outdoor area is well designed and attractive, providing excellent facilities for relaxation and outdoor activities. Indoors there is a shallow 12 x 8 metre swimming pool in an open space with a view over the outdoor pool area. There are facilities for parents with young children, whether for play or for their first swimming strokes. The pool also offers an impressive steam bath and dry sauna. On site is the Gym Heilsa fitness centre, open from 6:30 to 21:00 on weekdays and 10:00 to 18:00 at weekends. Facilities for disabled people are very good, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the services. Álftaneslaug is suitable both for Álftanes residents and for visitors who want to swim, play, relax or exercise in a peaceful environment.
